Martin has been active on many national and international research bodies including the AHRC Research panel 2, was an RAE panel member in art and design in 1992 and 1996 and has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, writing the 'Design Directions' sustainable design brief and chairing the judging panel for the past two years.
