Peter Excell

University of Bradford

Peter Excell is Professor of Applied Electromagnetics and Associate Dean for Research in the School of Informatics at the University of Bradford, where he has been on the academic staff since 1971. He obtained his BScin Engineering Science from the University of Reading in 1970 and his PhD from the University of Bradford in 1980. His classical research interests cover the electromagnetics of mobile communications systems, and he has over 200 publications and three patents in this field. However, from 2000 he has been a member of Bradford's interdisciplinary Department of Electronic Imaging and Media Communications, developing broader research interests in mobile communications, their future content, their applications and their context in society. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of the BCS and the ACM.
